CARES – kids fly safe – NEW to Malaysia

I’ve been eying this product for a long time, debating whether it would be appreciated by local parents.

Tiny Tapir is happy to be able to present you with the CARES (Child Aviation Restraint System) – a harness / seat belt system especially for children between 1 to 3 years old.

If you are a frequent traveler with a young toddler, air safety is very important, when it comes to turbulence, or just keeping your little travel companion in their seat, that single across the lap belt is just not going to cut it.

Small bodies cannot withstand the jolts that are common in routine air travel, much less emergency situations, and they flail forward or slide beneath the seat belt if they are not held securely in place.  The CARES restraint system will help young kids to feel safe and secure in their airline seat, even providing extra support for sleeping children.

Many airlines (not in Asia though, more’s the pity) require parents to lug on bulky car seats in order to properly protect and seat young children on the plane – the CARES system totally shrinks all that into a 1 pound, 6″ stuff sack.

The CARES system works on almost every airplane seat and is manufactured by AmSafe Aviation – the same company that manufactures almost all airline seat belts, guaranteeing a really top notch product.

If your child is a frequent traveler, this is one product you won’t regret buying!

Available at both our stores Tiny Tapir Baby Shop (Ampang Park) and Cloth Diapers & Carriers (Bangsar Village 2) and online at Tiny Tapir.

  1. Yay, glad you were able to get it in! I have one, I was able to get it from another distributor in Malaysia last year, but I’m glad you have it now. Hopefully parents who are flying will take advantage of it. It is a great product!!

  2. glad u have it now in malaysia. definitely will get one for my boy. one quick Q: it says there 1-3 yrs old, does that mean older kids are safe with the adult seatbelt on the plane? or do they have a specific height/weight for this CARES?
